Well the engine is now out and stripped down. The fact that it has not run in a number of years has not taken its toll on the old lump and its a very solid looking 1300 twin port and is very free. Well its down to the case nearly now and a number of parts have been retained, reconditioned and have already been treated to a new coat of silver and look factory fresh.
Tin ware was err....... crap. Chrome tin ware is just a joke. They made in thick and black for a reason !!
The fan shroud was badly coroded and needed to be thrown out and apart from the usual bits and bobs that you would usually junk its looking quite good.
The body hasnt moved on too much as we are waiting for the Volksworld show to source more parts. We have sourced a NOS rear apron and that has been offered up to the body and looks pretty good. Need to do a little trim work and make a perfect fit.
So thats it for now.... will get some photos soon.
